Grassroots leaders are filled with passion and enthusiasm - and have creative ideas about how to combat problems and inspire people in their communities. 

 

Challenge

But they also face a wide range of barriers to entrepreneurship - from low confidence to lack of education. Many doubt they could develop or lead an enterprise. 

 

Solution

Social Ark CIC offers tailored support to raise confidence and teach the skills needed to transform ideas into real social businesses.


Social Ark Step Up Programme

 

Aged 16-30? Live or work in East London?

Have an idea to change your community for the better? If so, we want to hear from you!

Our 12-month programme is specifically designed to support hard to reach young people to use their lived experiences to develop social enterprises.

We value passion, drive and determination. No formal qualifications required! We welcome all projects and ideas that are in line with our values and encourage applications from all backgrounds including ex-offenders and service users.

What’s included?

  • 20 half-day learning workshops

  • Specialist mentor in your chosen field

  • Corporate business mentor

  • 1:1 weekly catch up sessions

  • Off site visits and away days

  • Support to pilot your project

  • Help to access funding

  • Monthly networking events

  • Tailored additional support if needed

  • Aged 16-30yrs

  • Based in East London

  • Passionate to make change in your community

  • Can commit to the full learning programme (April 2018-April 2019)
